Liposuction

Reason of Application:

Liposuction is a technique to remove excess fat by vacuum. The excess fat in the arms, knees, lower legs, back, breasts, neck, under the chin, and mostly the hips, inner, exterior and frontier thighs, abdomen are removed by this technique and these areas are reshaped by the help of the elasticity of the skin. Liposuction is a contour fixing method rather than weight loss method. When a proper shape is given to your body with this method, it will also result in weight loss. Liposuction is a method with easy and rapid results.

Operation Method:

Liposuction can be done under general, spinal or local anesthesia. The body is entered through tiny cuts that are as big as millimeter. The operation is done by metal or plastic sticks which are called canella that suck the fat. It is recommended to use a liposuction corset for 4-6 weeks in order the area to which liposuction has been applied to stick to the interior tissue without any roughness and to speed up the gathering of the skin. The cellulites that are the non-inflamed formation under the skin will decrease and completely disappear after a while. For this purpose, surface liposuction is applied to the patient. The excess skin must be cut off because the elasticity of the skin decreases as age increases.

Operation and Rehabilitation Duration:

The duration varies depending on the area. It is on average 2 hours. The patient is discharged from the hospital on the same day with the operation and can get back to work the next day. The corset is never taken off during the first week following the surgery. The patient can take a shower at the end of this period. A diet is given to the patient after the first 3 days. After a week the patient is encouraged for any kind of sport activity in order to increase the results and quality of the surgery. The color changes or swellings disappear in 7-10 days. Precise results can be seen after a month. The doctor keeps record of the situation of the patient during this period.
